Early problems seem to have been resolved (said he, with his fingers crossed), so now people should be able to add comments quite straight-forwardly.

Just click on the comments link at the end of a posting.

If you want to start a new line of discussion, simply email me at:

and I'll add your comments to the page myself. I may, in the fullness of time, add a membership log-in to the page, but I'm treading warily to start with.

For All Historians

This Blog page is intended to be used by visitors to the pages of the Portree Local History Society.

The Society, and the administrator of the web pages, cannot carry out genealogical research, nor can we respond to individual questions relating to Family History. As the site develops, we may be able to put you in touch with people who can.

However, we are providing this Blog space for people to lodge their questions and thoughts about issues local to the History of Portree and Skye.

The pages are open, but they will be moderated and unsuitable material will be removed as soon as it is found.

We hope this facility will be respected and used.
